CSP anti-microbial solutions were developed by incorporating new patent-pending active compounds into the CSP Activ-PolymerTM technology platform.

CSP is able to characterize the interaction between the headspace and the packaged product. Then design the packaging  system and the release profile to optimize the efficacy of the anti-microbial agent while maintaining the organoleptic properties of the food.

In the examples shown, samples were inoculated with Listeria, Salmonella and E.coli, sealed in plastic trays and stored at 8゚C.  In each case, there was a reduction of 2 Log or greater.

In addition, sliced tomatoes were inoculated with the mold Geotrichum Candidum, a yeast-like mold that grows as a white fuzz. Samples were packaged in sealed plastic trays and stored at 4゚C for 14 days.
